As I reflect on these past months, I'm struck by the confluence of moments and milestones that have marked this period in our company's history. Wayne's retirement, new team members joining us, long-tenured employees hitting remarkable anniversaries—it all reminds me why we built this company the way we did.
When Wayne and I founded Equinox in 1986, we had a simple goal: create a great place to work. Everything else—the products, the customers, the growth—followed from that foundation. Thirty-seven years later, I'm proud to say that foundation remains solid.
The telecom industry has changed enormously since we started. The technology, the regulations, the competitive landscape—all dramatically different. But some things haven't changed: the importance of relationships, the value of institutional knowledge, and the irreplaceable nature of a team that genuinely cares about the work they do and the people they serve.
As we move forward, I'm confident that the values Wayne and I instilled in this company will continue to guide its future. The next generation of Equinox leaders shares those values, and I've seen firsthand how they put them into practice every day.
